Description of MicroLeague Baseball

Micro League Baseball series are surprising little games for their time that sport graphics and gameplay improvement with each new version. The games offer a selection of history's most powerful teams and you can pit them against each other in league play. Each even has a stat compiler that allows you to keep records on each individual.

I was impressed at the amount of strategy that can be used in each game. You can go head to head with another human or you can play the computer, decide which players are in the line up, what pitch to throw, how to swing, how to run the bases, how to position your fielders, etc.-- a baseball strategist's dream.

With the fact that you can get team disks, the replay value is very high. They are games that belongs on every sports fan hard drive. I rate them a 4 out of 5.

Removed the DOS version, which is the 1991 version, The Managers Challenge, and uploaded the PC Booter version. Check the how to page to boot it in DOSBox.

Hi:
I'm getting a prompt with the title, 'The Commissioner' with a text box. Below the text box is a randomized question that will ask things like, 'Enter the first word on line 5 of page 12.'
Any idea what this is? It won't let me past this screen. I actually own the original Commodore 64 disks and manuals, so I'm assuming it's referring to those. Unfortunately, there is no page 12 in the Manager's Rulebook (it's only 8 pages).

I have the same problem. I had the Commodore 64 version of this, including the Manager's Disk, which allowed u to enter your own teams. I enjoyed the game so much, I even went so far as to enter every team for the '88 season, using the Sporting News for info.
The password is an anti-piracy measure, as it is asking for a word from a particular page of the manual that came with the game. I had a pirated copy, so the password was bypassed. Unless someone can provide a password list, or a copy that works without a password, this download won't be doing much of anything..
